Theresa Wilkins is a graduate of Morris Brown College where she received her BA degree, and she is a retiree from the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority. Upon retirement, Theresa embarked upon her second career, an Event Planner and the Owner of Elegant Creations. Elegant Creations has three focal areas, wedding consultant, custom designed projects, and graphic design.

Currently, she has added to her employment career, Assistant to the President of VonCreations, Inc. an event planning business. Under the employment of VonCreations, Theresa has worked on several major events/fund raising projects which includes such events as Mardi Gras Madness, YWCA’s Salute to Women of Achievement, National Coalition of 100 Black Women’s National Retreat held in the Bahamas, and in Cancun Mexico, National Black Arts Festival, the Caribbean Folk Festival, the National Youth Conference Annual Awards Breakfast, and the Intergenerational Resource Center’s Annual “Portraits of Sweet Success Gala”.

Added to Theresa’s careers is the current position of Real Estate Agent for The Robinson Realty Group.

Her various community and work related organizations include being a member of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Metropolitan Atlanta Chapter, where she is the Vice President of Programs, a Sunday School Teacher, Past President of the Welcome All Athletic Association, Past President of the Hidden Valley Community Association, and Vice President of the Deaconess Ministry.

Amongst her accomplishments area 2004 honoree of Who’s Who in Black Atlanta, recipient of the Generous Concerned Employee Award at Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority, the Outstanding Service Award at Mount Vernon Baptist Church, the Shining Star Award in the Coalition, and Outstanding Member of Conference of Minority Transportation Officials for excellent work on the Conference.
